April at TAPS

April has been a busy time at TAPS! The launch of our new program, TAPS Online, is an exciting moment for TAPS and music education. With a goal of providing accessible, yet high-quality content to young musicians, TAPS Online brings together some of the world's most esteemed faculty. Module 1 of TAPS Online is currently live and features Ted Atkatz's Grip Pressure Masterclasses. Stay on the look-out for Module 2 with Charlie Rosmarin.

Coming up for TAPS is our Spring Fundraiser, from April 28th to May 12th. During this time, we have the TAPSurreal fundraising event on May 4th in Torrance, CA at the VEFA Gallery. This will be a memorable night, and combines surrealist art found in the exhibit titled "Surreality 101" and performances of music similar in style. This collaboration is not one you'll want to miss!

The TAPS LA Music Festival is also quickly approaching! This year's festival will be from June 15-June 29 and bring back world-class faculty like George Nickson, Matt Howard, Joseph Pereira, Jose Uzcategui, and Artist-in-Residence Andy Akiho. There is some exciting music on the agenda for this summer and fellows will have the opportunity to play with and for some of the best in the industry.

TAPS is always looking to innovate and create inclusive and accessible spaces to create and learn about music. Keep up with TAPS on Instagram at @tapslafestival for more!
